PASTOR ALEX MERLO

I have the blessing and privilege of serving the Lord Jesus Christ as pastor of the San Pablo Evangelical Lutheran Church since the year 2005, when the congregation chose to be autonomous and affiliated with the Lutheran Synod of Missouri (LCMS).

I am married to my beautiful wife María Elena since 27 september 1987.God has blessed us with two sons and a daughter. Now adults and married. Alex Jr. (Nancy), David (Kelsey) and Katie.

 

Being a pastor of San Pablo church has been an experience and adventure for my life.  One of my passions as a local pastor has been equipping people who love God to be sent to serve him. I believe that identifying, preparing and sending leaders to further the mission of Jesus Christ is crucial and a need of the Church.  As it is also necessary to be the hands and feet of the Lord Jesus in serving our community and being present among them.

 

14 How then can they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how can they believe in him of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without a preacher?fifteen And how will they preach if they are not sent?
